Special Needs Trampolines
The recommended trampoline for special needs use is the school model trampoline with a 13mm, 25mm webbed bed or powermesh bed bed.
When deciding which type of bed to use with your special needs trampoline you need to consider the amount of use the trampoline will be getting.
Powermesh beds give a smooth bounce similar to a 13mm webbed bed but they wear rather
quickly and cannot be repaired, so if you intend on using the trampoline on a regular
basis, or with mainstream as well as SEN pupils you could be replacing a powermesh
bed every 6-12 months.
In the long run it would be wiser to purcahse a 25mm webbed bed which will last considerably longer and can be maintained if the stitiching wears or suffers deliberate or accidental damage. The webbed bed will also take the weight of the pupil and multiple support assistants much better than the powermesh bed.
