BG Teachers Trampoline Award Level 1& Part 2

Course Details

This combined British Gymnastics certificated course includes both the level 1 & Part 2 syllabus.

This course entitles the holder to teach the trampolining skills in the syllabus within the school curriculum only.

Entry Requirements

You must also be one of the following:

a) Qualified PE trained teacher, b) Teachers of other subjects who already hold BG level 2 or higher trampoline coaching qualifications or c) Trainee PE teachers who have actually started their teacher training and are in their penultimate or final year of training.

Minimum Age 21 years

Syllabus Level 1

This course covers setting out and packing away equipment, trampolining code of practice, shaped jumps, half & full twist jumps, skills up to and including half twist into and out of the seat, front and back landing. Basic combination of skills, swivel hips & roller, Kipping techniques and basic bio mechanics.

Syllabus Part 2

Part 2 covers skills leading to forward & backwards somersault, full twist into and out of body landings, cradle, cat twist, half turntable, somersault mechanics, competitions, routine construction and tariffing.

Trampoline Central recommends all teachers are trained within their own schools/venues on how to set up and pack away venue specific equipment as equipment types/brands will vary.  In all cases candidates should follow the manufacturers guidelines.

Note: Some complex skills may be covered in theory if course candidates are unable to demonstrate the skills practically during the course.

Assessment Criteria

The practical element of this course is internally assessed  by the course tutor.  A written theory examination (pass mark 60%) will be completed at the end of this course.  Both the practical and theory elements must be passed to successfully complete the course.

Course Fees Include

BG Resource book, handouts & 1 x hand held coaching belt, examination, assessment & certification

Membership/access to the secure members area of the TC website and free confidential advice for a minimum period of 12 months.

Further Recommended Training

All  coaches should attend a Refresher Course every 2-3 years to maintain current coaching standards

Terms & Conditions

All accepted bookings will be charged for regardless of attendance at the course. Refunds/Transfers/Credits will not be made for cancellations, incomplete courses or no shows.

Please note jewellery of any kind is not permitted during the course.

Trampoline Central reserve the right to cancel courses at short notice (at least 5 days) if less than 10 candidates book onto the course.
