TC are developing several levels of trampoline award scheme from Bounce Therapy to
Club & Advanced. Our first release is the School Pathway which is a very exciting
new award scheme and tool for teachers and coaches working primarily within schools
delivering trampolining at GCSE level. The award scheme can also be used in clubs
and leisure centres at grass roots level to progress participants from complete beginner
to complex twisting and single somersaults. The Trampoline Central Award Scheme,
Schools Pathway has been created taking into consideration the assessment criteria
for trampolining at GCSE level, the logical manner in which trampolining skills should
be taught and the novice and elite schools national competitions run annually by
the British Schools Gymnastics Association.
There are two clear pathways within this award scheme, one for participants that
wish to trampoline at a recreational level and those that wish to progress into the
schools competitions. The recreational level is more demanding in terms of difficulty
linking some of the skills within the routines, while the competition pathway is
focused on training and perfecting skills and routines throughout each level in preparation
for the schools competitions. Both are quite challenging from different aspects
and while following both pathways in the document is not required to achieve an award,
it can be motivating and challenging for the participants to be learning a second
routines while perfecting another.
The award scheme has been created by a fully qualified and experienced lecturer with
experience of creating resources to meet the needs of teachers and students.
The Schools Pathway is also intended for use as an individual learning plan, teaching
resource and GCSE scheme of work.
Certificates for this award scheme will be released shortly and will be available
to order from our online store in the near future.
